This tree is very old. It stands along side the road on Hwy. 77 just off I35 on the Thackerville exit. I've been driving past it for many years, so I know it's old!
Going past it one day recently, I thought how beautiful it was, I should do a painting. And then I wondered why in the world I hadn't already painted it? The only reason I could come up with was, here where I live, I see so many routine things that are worthy of being permanently recorded on canvas that I'm overwhelmed with the prospect.
My resolve is to overcome being "overwhelmed" and sling more paint. Sounds like fun—huh?
